Indepay provides a technologically advanced electronic infrastructure
backbone for providing financial inclusion services, government
services, banking services and other utility services to semi-urban
and rural Indian retail segment, using biometrically secured multiple
benefit cards and also reforming governance and delivery systems
in the process.
Indepay’s platform for Financial Inclusion
provides for an integrated approach for addressing requirements
for all government disbursements for such beneficiaries and allows
for a single point of service for provisioning of these services
to bank’s customers.
Central to the implementation of the platform
is an electronically operated banking system infrastructure, which
provides a large number of banking Points of Service (PoS), to
provide disbursement services to beneficiaries, in a secured manner,
generally within a few kilometers of their residence.
The centralized electronic infrastructure enables
centralized monitoring and provision of all the required information
and data to the respective stakeholders such as Banks and other
government departments.
Each location where the Point of Service is located
is serviced by a Business Correspondent or Bank agent who is provided
with an Indepay terminal for carrying out the transactions.
Once the points of service infrastructure are
setup, the beneficiary can visit these locations to carry out
all their Financial Inclusion transactions. In addition to Government
Disbursals, citizens can also avail of Indepay services at the
Point of Service such as PCO, Utility Bill Payments, Airline Tickets,
Mobile Recharges, Railway tickets, etc and pay for these services
using either cash or credit/debit card.
Each Point of Service registered as an extension
counter of an assigned bank offers the following services
