Benny Hu
Mr. Hu has recently been appointed by the President of the Republic
of China as an Ambassador-at-large representing ROC's international
economic interests. Previously, he was the President of China
Development Industrial Bank, the largest investment bank in
Taiwan. He grew the bank from US$160 million paid in capital
to over US$1.86 billion, and the market cap of the bank increased
from US$926 million to US$5 billion during tenure. He also expanded
business of the bank to the United States, Great Britain, Japan,
Hong Kong, Korea, Australia, and Philippines. Of the 250 companies
invested during tenure, 62 companies had IPOs and 10 were acquired.
He was also the Chairman of Chung Hwa Lone Star Assets Management
Corp., a joint venture between U.S. based Lone Star Group and
China Development Industrial Bank to handle distressed assets
in Taiwan, and it is the first asset management company established
in Taiwan. Prior to CDIB, Mr. Hu was the Chairman of the Board
and the President of China Securities Investment Trust Corp.,
a joint venture among CDIB, Fidelity Investment, Merrill Lynch,
Yamaichi Securities and Bangkok Bank. He also launched Taiwan
Fund, the first NYSE-listed single-country fund focusing on
Taiwan and Taiwan ROC Fund, the first country fund for foreign
investors. Mr. Hu received his MBA degree from Wharton School
of University of Pennsylvania.
Suresh Rajpal
Suresh Rajpal has over 3 decades of management experience
in the global IT industry. His 29-year career with Hewlett Packard
spanned 3 continents. He founded and presided over Hewlett Packard's
India operations leading it to a USD 200 million enterprise.
His accomplishments include leading Hewlett-Packard India to
achieve the highest award for business excellence in the country
- the CII EXIM Award for Business Excellence. This award is
equivalent to the Deming prize in Japan, the Malcolm Balridge
in the US, and the EFQM award for total quality in Europe.
Mr. Rajpal founded eCapital solutions in 1999,
leading it to an enterprise with a turnover of USD 40 million
a year through organic growth and acquisitions in 2 years.
He was awarded the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year,
2000.
Rajib Saha
Rajib comes with a startup experience of over 16 years
in sales and product management in both domestic and international
markets. He began his career with Philips Electron Optics distributing
their High end Technology product to institutional clientele
and went on to hold position at Hughes Software Systems in Gurgaon,
when they started their DSP group in 1996.
Before launching IndePay Networks, he had founded the technology
start up, that was instrumental in bringing innovations in retail
payment over telecom network through which transactional content
can be distributed seamlessly across the counter in countries
where internet commerce is still in the infancy stage.
As MD/Chief Executive Officer, Rajib is responsible for the
strategic and operational leadership of IndePay's Master Merchant
acquiring, content retailing and Prepaid Processing business
segments. He is actively involved in the day-to-day operations
of Indepay Networks while overseeing the company's business
strategy, fund raising from financial institutions, financial
performance and the growth of the business across all product
lines.
