Koh Boon Hwee
Currently Chairman of Development Bank
of Singapore (DBS), Koh Boon Hwee joined DBS as a director
in June 2005. Mr. Boon Hwee started his career in 1977
at Hewlett Packard and rose to become its Managing Director
in Singapore, a post he held from 1985 to 1990. From 1991
to 2000, he was Executive Chairman of the Wuthelam Group.
He was also the Chairman of the Singapore Telecom Group
(SingTel) and its predecessor organizations from 1986
to 2001. During his 15-year term as Chairman of SingTel,
he successfully led the Singapore telecommunications company
through its transformation from a statutory board to a
publicly-listed company and from a domestic operator in
Singapore to one of Asia Pacific’s leading integrated
communication service providers. He was also the Chairman
of Singapore Airlines Limited for a period of 5 years.
Mr. Boon Hwee was named the Outstanding
Manager of the Year in 1991 by Business Times and DHL
Worldwide, and was conferred The International Herald
Tribune Visionary and Leader Honour in January 2003. He
serves on the boards of Temasek Holdings Pte Ltd and Agilent
Technologies, Inc. in the United States. Mr. Boon Hwee
also contributes actively to non-profit organisations,
and is the current Chairman of the Board of Trustees of
Nanyang Technological University and director of the Singapore
Harvard Foundation.
Dr. D K Ghosh
A well known Telecom Professional, Dr.
Ghosh is the Chairman and Managing Director of ZTE Telecom
in India. Prior to joining ZTE, he was the Executive Director
and a Board Member of Siemens Public Communications Network
Limited. Prior to Siemens, he was with the Modi group,
Salora group and also with Philips India for over one
and a half decades.
Currently, Dr. Ghosh is the Chairman
of the Telecom sub-committee of Indian Chamber of Commerce
& Industry; Sr. Vice President of Telecom Industry
and Services Association (TISA) and Vice Chairman of Electronics
& Computer Software Export Promotion Council under
Ministry of IT, India. His recent book on ICT: “The
Great Digital Transformation – A saga of sustainable
Development” was launched by the Vice President
of India.
Dr D.K. Ghosh is an Engineering Graduate
from IIT Kharagpur. He holds an MBA from the University
of Calcutta and a Ph.D from CCS University.
Suresh Rajpal
Suresh Rajpal has over 31 years of management
experience in the global IT industry. His 29-year career
with Hewlett Packard spanned 3 continents. He founded
and presided over Hewlett Packard's India operations leading
it to a USD 200 million enterprise. His accomplishments
include leading Hewlett-Packard India to achieve the highest
award for business excellence in the country - the CII
EXIM Award for Business Excellence. This award is equivalent
to the Deming prize in Japan, the Malcolm Balridge in
the US, and the EFQM award for total quality in Europe.
Mr. Rajpal founded eCapital solutions
in 1999, leading it to an enterprise with a turnover of
USD 40 million a year through organic growth and acquisitions
within 2 years. He was awarded the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur
of the Year 2000.
Dr. Yee Shyi Chang
Dr. Chang was the Founder/Chairman of
GTRAN Wireless and the Founder/Chairman of GBASE and has
served as the Chairman of DALIAN Opti-Communication Park.
Prior to that, he was a Consultant/Senior Consultant to
various organizations like Motorola, Applied Materials
and Eastcom Group. Dr. Chang has a Ph.D. from the University
of Cambridge. Currently, he is engaged with several projects,
one of them being a collaboration with Qualcomm to roll
out a CDMA network in the Philippines
